The HSK-100P connect to HSK-5000 via RS-232 cable , the maximum distance is 15 meter.

2. Does HSK-5000 able to track account usage and total accounts set up?

You can monitor account creating and account usage status by HSK-5000 web management interface. Moreover you can establish a syslog server on your network or Internet, the HSK-5000 will send that information to syslog server

3. For the user authentication, can you hard code users into the system for repeated use, or does it only generate users and passwords on the fly for one time use?

The HSK-5000 only support "Time to Finish" billing base doesn't support "Accumulate" billing. That said, the account that generate from HSK-5000, is for one time use only.

4. Is it possible to allow cards printed at one location to be used at other locations?

The HSK-5000 can't support account roaming, the account only support use at own location.

5. How many different time setups can you create, ex 30 minutes, 1 hour of time to be purchased? How is the account printer connected to the controller?

Basically, HSK-5000 support 4 billing profile, you can define these billing profile on HSK-5000's web management interface. If you used HSK-100P (HSK-5000's proprietary printer) to create account, the HSK-100P only support first billing profile

6. We have to try to connect an IP printer behind a LAN plug and try to print to it with Microsoft print installer. But it not work!

Basically, the LAN segment of HSK has VLAN feature, therefore the printer should be not work.

7. Can two of your wireless APs be set up as a point to point link?

I am sorry, HSK doesn't support set up to point to point link

8. Can I monitor usage from remote? Know how much the hotel is printing?

Of course, the HSK-5000 has account activity log. You also can export account log to a TXT file!

9. Is there any HSK-100P printer drivers for Windows?

I am sorry , the HSK-100P is proprietary printer. It's only work with HSK-5000. Therefore, there is no driver for PC!

10. With the 5000 can I create a prepaid card for 365 days? If the 5000 powers down will they just have to reenter the same user and pass again?

The HSK-5000 can support maximum 999 days account. And the account is storing in flash , therefore one if the HSK-5000 power cycle , the account will not be erase!

11. Is it possible to use while PPPoE such special characters like # ?

The HSK's PPPoE username & password maximum length is 80 characters , and HSK can support any special characters in PPPoE username !

12. How about the wireless transmission power of the HSK-5000?

The wireless transmission power of the HSK-5000 is 63mW

13. How about the wireless receivers sensibility of the HSK-5000?

The Receiver Sensitivity is -80dBm!

14. My PC setup with a Static IP address, it is different subnet with the product's LAN site. Can I access to internet without changing my IP configuration?

Yes, your PC can access to the internet with the existing IP configuration.

15. I setup my PC a Static IP address which different subnet with the product's LAN site, but my pc can not access to internet.

If you only setup an IP address but leave the others network parameter like Subnet Mask, Gateway and DNS IP address in blank, your PC can not access to internet via our product. Our products support Any IP address, Any Subnet Mask, Any Gateway IP address

16. The existing DNS IP address of my PC is a private IP, do I need to change it?

No, our products will re-direct the DNS packet to the real DNS.

17. My browser have http proxy server setup, do I need to disable it?

No, our products can handle http proxy packet, therefore you no need to disable the proxy setup on your browser .

18. My browser's existing http proxy setup is a private IP, do I need to change it?

No, our products can handle any http Proxy IP address.

19. My browser's existing proxy setup is a Domain Name, which only can be resolve in my private network, do I need to change it?

No, our product can handle any Domain Name setting.

20. Initially, my browser have http proxy server setup and I was able to access to Internet via the product, but then I disable the proxy setting, I can not web surfing anymore.

Our product do not support application like this. This case normally happened when engineer evaluating our product, however in real site application, user seldom change their existing configuration.

21. My browser have http proxy server setup, but I can not access to the WEB configuration page in the product.

Please disable your browser proxy setting when you want to access to the WEB configuration page in the product.

22. To prevent unknown people to access to the product's WEB configuration Page, what can I setup on the product.

You can change the default WEB Server port 80 to 8010~8060. For ISS4000, HSK4000, HSK5000 ,in addition , you could assign an Authorized IP address for your Remote PC. Only Authorized IP address can access to the WEB configuration page.
